Vibe magazine is my inspiration for my music magazine as it is very very similar. It inspired me to have one main picture on the front cover, and to have the articles names around the side.

These mastheads are my influences for my Music Magazine as they are suitable and stand out. They are really relevant to my magazine as the music these brands are based on are of my Music Magazine genre. I particularly like the KING, VIBE and MTV base mastheads and these will influence me on my final masthead design.

These are the type of clothes my main model will be wearing, I feel they are suitable for my magazine because they are quite provocative but stylish at the same time. Also, it is the type of clothes my Model I've chosen wears which is suitable ass it adds her character to the magazine.

I would say out of the 4 photo's this is Model is most suitable for my magazine. She looks very versatile so could look correct for a R&B/Hip-Hop Magazine.

 

 

I feel this model isn't appropriate because this is me.

I feel this model isn't appropriate as she has her own style and doesn't look correct for an R&B/Hip-Hop Magazine.

I feel this model could be appropriate if she was wearing the right clothing, and also the red hair is very popular in the R&B/Hip-Hop market. However I feel she looks more Indie than R&B.

Research and Planning: SLR Test Shots

 I like these inside photo's  because the natural inside lighting along with the flash has made the models stand out, I also think the flash has made them look more brighter and made their hair look shiny.

I like these outside photo's because the natural lighting makes the pictures more effective and defined, on both pictures the focus is pretty sharp which is good and looks professional.

For my own Magazine, I am thinking of doing the images inside as the model will be wearing clothing that is not suitable for outside. I also think the detail of the models are picked up better inside as the outside seems to both focus on location and model which is good if you want it like that however I want the main focus to be the model with a plain background.
